Climate Cafe Conversation // 2040 Screening Event

Now, more than ever, we need positive voices in the ecological crisis. Join us to see director Damon Gameau's 'exercise in fact-based dreaming', 2040. Using only the solutions that are available to us today Damon envisions a positive future for our children and planet.

The film takes a solutions-based approach to how we can, using the technology we already have, mitigate the enormous global issues we currently face. The main themes/solutions looked at in the film are around: empowerment of women and girls; marine regeneration; regenerative agriculture; renewable energy; and circular economy. It's a story of hope, and a powerful tool to encourage people to take action.

*2040 is one of our Climate Conversations this year and the main event will take place from 7pm to around 9pm. The film runs for 92 minutes leaving some time for a conversation afterwards. For those who cant make this event but would still like to see the film, we also have been given the opportunity to watch it throughout the day as well. All you need to do is sign up for the event and you will be sent an email with the link(s) the film and zoom. The evening event will take the form of - We individually watch the film from 7pm then come onto zoom at 8.30pm for an after film chat. The film link has been made available to us to view for 24 hours from 6pm on 24th May*
